Arizona Diagnostic Radiology AI

Arizona Diagnostic Radiology rolls out AI solutions –
helping to transform diagnostic outcomes and enhance patient care

ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN IMAGING

Screening mammography saves lives, yet the volume of cases generated by screening puts an enormous demand on radiologists. We are using artificial intelligence tools that will help radiologists interpret mammograms more accurately and efficiently, for both 2D full-field digital mammograms and 3D digital breast tomosynthesis.

  • Arizona Diagnostic Radiology uses AI software products that work in conjunction with Mammography.
  • The various AI algorithms are trained to process images to quickly identify abnormalities such as breast tumors.
  • AI software identifies suspicious areas and/or abnormalities and “flags” them for the Radiologist’s immediate attention.

Arizona Diagnostic Radiology AI Benefits

BENEFITS OF AI TECHNOLOGY

  • AI has been shown to reduce recall rates which in turn, curtails the expense associated with follow-up procedures.
  • AI helps radiologists catch disease earlier and allows for reduced treatment cost.
  • Patient anxiety is significantly reduced.
  • Early cancer detection reduces morbidity and saves lives.

BENEFITS OF BREAST IMAGING ENHANCED WITH AI

  • Scientific data suggests that AI may be able to detect breast cancer earlier than current practice. 1
  • AI technology has been shown to increase the detection rate of invasive cancer and reduce the recall rate for further exams. 2
    • Early breast cancer detection reduces morbidity and saves lives. When cancer is detected in stage 1, the 5-year relative survival rate is 99%.
    • Patient anxiety is significantly reduced!
  • AI technology helps our radiologists detect cancer earlier, which can save patients’ lives!
