CT Coronary Calcium Scoring
This quick, noninvasive CT scan measures the amount of calcium within the arteries of your heart. The results help estimate your risk for coronary artery disease and future cardiac events such as heart attacks.
Coronary CT Angiography (CCTA)
CCTA produces high-resolution, 3D images of the coronary arteries, allowing physicians to see plaque buildup and narrowing that may contribute to chest pain or other heart-related symptoms.
Transthoracic Echocardiogram (TTE)
This ultrasound-based test creates real-time images of the heart, helping evaluate its structure, motion, and function without the use of radiation.
CCTA with FFR-CT
Adding fractional flow reserve (FFR) to a CCTA allows radiologists to offer a more precise evaluation of the severity of CAD.
Cardiac MRI

CCTA with AI Plaque Analysis

CT Coronary Calcium Score
Key insights:- Patients at low to moderate cardiovascular risk who receive a calcium score of zero can often be managed with lifestyle modifications such as improved nutrition, regular physical activity, and, in some cases, preventive medication.
- Coronary calcium scoring identifies calcified plaque only and does not detect soft or non-calcified plaque, which may still be present
- This exam is not appropriate for patients with known coronary artery disease, including those with prior stents or coronary artery bypass graft surgery
- Individuals with the following risk factors may benefit from calcium scoring as part of their heart-health assessment:
- diabetes, high blood pressure, smoking history, obesity, family history of heart disease, high cholesterol, chronic kidney disease, metabolic syndrome, inflammatory conditions, and elevated lipoprotein(a).
